Shirley Tan is a post-doctoral fellow in the School of Education, Windesheim University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands. She is also an adjunct research fellow at the International Centre for Lesson Studies, Nagoya University, Japan. Her research primarily focuses on classroom research, particularly emphasising the visualisation of students' thinking and cross-cultural analysis. Her research in board work (bansho) has made significant contributions to the understanding of bansho in the Lesson Study context.
