Penny Van Bergen

Dr Penny Van Bergen is an Associate Professor in Educational Psychology at Macquarie University. She is also Director of the Centre for Children's Learning in a Social World: a small research centre in Educational Studies and Psychology that examines how social relationships and interactions influence children's cognitive, emotional, and social development. She obtained her PhD from UNSW in 2008, examining how parents scaffold and support children's memory and emotion during shared reminiscing.
