Video: Supporting students with additional needs - using study planners

In today’s video, Additional Needs Coordinator Sue Pickett shares a study planner created by herself and her team at Eltham High School in Victoria to support teachers in assisting students with additional needs.

‘We map out with the student what it is that they’d like to achieve in that session, where they’d like to have their brain breaks or their movement breaks, and we lock it all in on the template. This means that the student can then take charge and take ownership,’ she shares in the video.

Sue runs through how you can use a study planner to help students form expectations and clarity in class, and to invest in their learning and complete work.
