We’re delighted to let you know our annual reader survey is opening today. For 8 years, we have invited you to share your feedback on Teacher, and this year, completing our survey could put you in the draw to win a $500 VISA prepaid gift card.
We ask you a range of questions in our survey including how much you like our various content formats, what topics you’d like to see covered in the future, and what subjects you’d be interested in learning more about from our fortnightly Saturday publication, Wellbeing by Teacher.
Acting on your feedback
When the survey concludes each year, we get straight to work on reviewing your feedback and suggestions, because it’s your input that helps shape the future direction of Teacher.
For instance, last year many of you told us you enjoy listening to our podcasts. You might have seen that just yesterday we launched a new podcast series, School Assembly. For the next 12 months, we’ll be following Principal Ray Boyd and Associate Principal Rachael Lehr as they work on building a new primary school from scratch in Perth, Western Australia.

You also let us know you enjoy watching our videos. This year, we welcomed back popular video contributor Holly Millican to our YouTube channel, who has been sharing lesson activities which she uses in her classroom for different Mathematics topics.. You may have also seen our 3-part video series with Additional Needs Coordinator at Eltham High School, Sue Pickett, who shared her strategies for supporting students with additional needs. Most recently, we have published the first video in another 3-part series where Teacher Librarian Mali Jorm takes us through a library skills program in place at their school. Sharing advice with your peers
One of our survey questions asks you to share one piece of advice with your peers. We love reading your words of wisdom, and collate your responses in infographics so they can be shared with the education community.
