Since Teacher launched in 2014, we’ve run an annual reader survey to give you the opportunity to share what’s important to you, feedback on our publication, and the content you’d like to see from us in the future. Click here to complete the survey.
It’s now time for our 10th annual reader survey – to celebrate the milestone, we’re bringing you a refreshed survey with brand new questions. And, to thank you for taking the time to give your feedback, all respondents based in Australia will go into the running to win a $500 VISA gift card!
The impact of your feedback
We read all your responses, and it’s your insights that help shape the future of the magazine. For instance, in our 2023 reader survey, many of you let us know you’d like more content from us on the topic of artificial intelligence (AI). Since then, we’ve published a range of articles on the topic – covering integrating AI into the curriculum, copyright laws in relation to AI, a year 12 lesson activity on AI, and a year 5 inquiry unit on AI.
You also let us know that teacher shortages are a major problem you’re facing, so throughout this year we have taken a look at the national and international picture on this topic, and we’ve spoken with school leaders about how they’re facing this challenge in their own school setting.
New questions for 2024
It’s your responses to our survey that helps inform how Teacher looks in the future. If you’ve completed our survey before, you’ll recognise that we’ve made some changes for 2024. We know you’re all extremely busy at work, so we’ve updated to the survey form in order to make it simpler and quicker for you to complete.
For the first time this year, we’re asking you to share what you love most about your role. We’d also love to get to know you better by understanding how you like to spend your spare time.
We are also giving you the opportunity to provide feedback to us on our latest initiative, the Teacher Awards. You’ll be able to let us know what you thought about the Award criteria, timing of the nomination period and more.
A decade of survey findings
After the conclusion of this year’s survey, we’ll be collating your responses from the last decade in a special article, to see how the topics and issues of importance and interest to you have changed and evolved over the last 10 years.
