Dr Julia Atkin has a passion for understanding how we learn. Her early research developed an understanding of thinking processes involved in deep learning and in helping learners learn to learn. As an independent academic and consultant, Julia works across education settings nationally and internationally with teachers, school leaders and architects to transform all facets of education from the industrial era to the knowledge era and the learning demands of the 21st Century. She has received numerous prestigious awards for her work.
