Emeritus Professor Mike Lawson (PhD) has research interests that focus on the use of strategies for learning in classroom and study situations. Recently his research has been concerned with applications in mathematical problem solving, vocabulary acquisition in language learning and teachers’ facilitation of students' use of learning strategies. Mike has been involved as a member of research teams that have evaluated the effects of interventions on mental health for students in primary schools and early childhood centres.
