Cathy Vatterott is a Professor of Education at the University of Missouri–St Louis in the US. As a parent, former teacher, and principal, she has experienced homework from a variety of perspectives. After she presented at several educational conferences, participants began referring to her as the ‘homework lady.’ Dr Vatterott is the author of four books and numerous articles about education. She frequently presents at national educational conferences and serves as a consultant to schools. She is considered an international expert on the topic of K-12 homework.
