Dr Michelle Avila Vanderburg is a literacy researcher and educator at CQUniversity, the Head of Course for the Master of Teaching (Primary) and she is the manager of the CQUniversity Bundaberg Makerspace. Her research background includes looking at inquiry methods, literacy coaching, and literacy in the content areas, such as STEM. Her current engagement and research activities focus on STEM education and makerspace pedagogy where she aims to assist pre-service and in-service teachers in utilising technology effectively in the classroom to enhance students’ digital literacy.
