Leon Sterling

Professor Leon Sterling has worked at universities in the UK, Israel, the US, and Australia over 35 years. His teaching and research specialties are software engineering and artificial intelligence. Leon was Professor of Software Innovation and Engineering at the University of Melbourne and inaugural e-Research Director. He was Dean of ICT at Swinburne University of Technology from 2010-2013 and Pro Vice Chancellor (Digital Frontiers) from 2014-2015. As President of the Australian Council of Deans of ICT from 2012-14, and subsequently, he has advocated for teaching coding in schools.
