Teacher Awards 2024: Winners announced

Today we are delighted to announce the winners of the 2024 Teacher Awards.

The Teacher Awards celebrate the incredible work of teachers, school leaders and support staff in K-12 school settings across Australia who are working to lift student achievement and wellbeing.

‘This is the second year we’ve run the Teacher Awards and it’s already a real highlight in the calendar,’ Teacher Editor, Jo Earp says. ‘The 8 categories paint a picture of all the different elements that go into making a successful school community.

‘From opening the nominations at the beginning of June, to today – where we announce the winners – the response, feedback and support from everyone in the education community has been amazing. Congratulations to the 2024 winners for their outstanding work and a special thanks to our judges for their expertise.’

The Judging Panel this year was comprised of Professor Geoff Masters, Professor Lyn Sharratt, Professor Pasi Sahlberg, Professor Pauline Taylor-Guy, Professor Amy Cutter-Mackenzie-Knowles, Dr Kat Ross, Dr Troy Meston, Ben Sacco, Alex Wharton and Mali Jorm.

‘These awards were a pleasure to read and see the incredible work of teams and individuals who are striving to support their students and communities. Teachers are far too often overlooked and underappreciated, and I am glad I could be a part of something that helps to bring recognition to the incredible teachers making huge impacts,’ Judging Panel member Dr Kat Ross, says.
