Dr Roberta Thompson

Roberta Thompson is a Research Fellow with Griffith Institute for Educational Research (GIER) at Griffith University, Queensland, Australia. She is interested in young people’s everyday experience in and out of school, both on and offline. Her research explores the interplay between young people’s everyday interactions with friends, gendered discourses, social media practice, identity construction, and online safety agendas. Roberta’s most recent research investigates design-based approaches for engaging young people in developing cyberbullying interventions to improve their online safety.
