In 2016 Peter completed a Master of Education, which provided space in classrooms for student voice to construct a student definition of engagement with the curriculum. Peter’s PhD research takes the initial research further, exploring the relationship between personal agency and student engagement with curriculum and education outcomes. Peter’s experience includes education and curriculum development across urban and remote contexts, and experience in private industry in Australia and overseas. This range of experience leaves Peter focused on helping each person to find their best to achieve their education goals.

Here he shares the impetus for this research and how the findings influenced his own classroom practice.
