Since Teacher launched in 2014, we have run an annual reader survey to give you the opportunity to share what’s important to you, feedback on our publication, and the content you’d like to see from us in the future.
This is now our 12th survey, and we can’t wait to hear what’s important to you in 2026. We read all your responses, and it’s your insights that help shape the future of the magazine.

The impact of your feedback
In 2025, you asked us for more research news, content on leadership, wellbeing and more. We collated your topic requests in this infographic published earlier this year.
We also prioritised bringing you content on these topics – some recent highlights for readers include a podcast episode exploring leadership burnout, research news showing young people’s enjoyment of reading is increasing, and an article sharing leadership resources for whole-school curriculum planning.
This year, we’re looking at how we can build the Teacher community and provide you with more opportunities to connect and share. So, we’ve included a special question our 2026 survey so you can share what would be most useful to you – whether it’s in-person workshops, on-demand video content or a different idea altogether.
The lasting impact of teachers

This year, in anticipation of Australia celebrating World Teachers’ Day on 30 October, our survey will invite you to reflect on the impact of teachers you had during your own time as a student.
