Matt Pinkard is the Principal of Warriapendi Primary School, a Fogarty Edvance alumni and Centre School for the Centre for Excellence in the Explicit Teaching of Literacy. He is a passionate educational leader committed to academic excellence, equity and inclusivity. Driven by the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, Matt has dedicated his career to improving educational outcomes and unlocking potential, regardless of a child's background or circumstances. He brings extensive leadership experience across both high and low SEI schools in regional and metropolitan Western Australia, as well as international teaching experience that broadens his educational perspective. Known for his passion for evidence-based teaching and learning and championing the underdog, Matt leads by example in fostering a strong school culture, placing strong relationships and genuine care for students at the heart of every decision. He is dedicated to creating the conditions that support meaningful professional development and ongoing growth for all staff.
