ACU Professor and Director of Research Translation at the Dyslexia SPELD Foundation

My research aims to understand what causes reading difficulties, how these difficulties can be identified and treated effectively, and how they are linked to a person's wellbeing. I am a strong advocate for the rapid translation of scientific knowledge into real-world practice, and support the research translation efforts of MOTIf, the Australian Literacy Clinic, Street Library Australia, Literacy Planet, and Bookbot. I am currently a Professor at the Australian Centre for the Advancement of Literacy at ACU (Sydney) and the Director of Research Translation at the Dyslexia SPELD Foundation (Perth).
